NEW SNAIL MAIL PROJECT - A GLOBAL EXCHANGE OF WRITTEN WORDS
Hello! I just wanted to announce a new project that I thought you might possibly be interested in. What I have in mind is mail art - an exchange of written words. What the project consists of is that I would mail you a piece of paper (it could be plain notebook, it could be a receipt or a photograph with a blank back, it could be a printout, a flyer, a business card - you don’t know what you’re going to get), and I would ask you to write something on it. It can be a poem, a story, your current thoughts,a short phrase or a random string of words, it can be fiction or it can be true - it can be in a different language even, I don’t have to completely understand what it says - it can be anything you want, so long as it fits on that sheet of paper. In return, I would enclose my own handwritten sheet of paper in the envelope for you to keep, and ask that you mail your piece of paper back to me once you’re done with it.If you prefer it, you can remain anonymous - just don’t include your name anywhere on the paper. Or, you could write down your name, the date, again - anything. If you would like to participate, just e-mail me with an address that I could use (pudgemagazine[at]gmail[dot]com) or use the ask box, and I’ll drop a letter off for you!Best wishes always,Leila
happy lazy Sunday to you all! bringing this back because I am mailing out a fourth batch of letters this week, and I would love it if you joined the project! Send me a message here, or e-mail - whichever works best for you. <3

Post with 3 notes
It’s that time of the month again.
The part when I wonder where I’ll be a year from now. Will I be happy? Will I have found a job in my field? Will I be desperately struggling under the enormous pile of debt I’ve accumulated in college?
That time of the month when anxiety gets a little overwhelming and people tell me not to worry about it. “What will come, will come.”
Doesn’t mean I won’t worry about it.
As a bisexual, it sickens me that some people WILL keep scrolling.
As the straight daughter of a gay man, it sickens me that some people will keep scrolling.
As a straight girl with a basic understanding of equality and love, it also sickens me that people will keep scrolling.
As a straight Christian woman, I pray that people will not scroll past this. Love, not judge.
I’m re-reblogging for that last one.
Autism is a poorly-understood neurological disorder that can impair an individual’s ability to engage in various social interactions. But little 5-year-old Iris Grace in the UK is an excellent example of the unexpected gifts that autism can also grant – her exceptional focus and attention to detail have helped her create incredibly beautiful paintings that many of her fans (and buyers) have likened to Monet’s works.
Little Iris is slowly learning to speak, whereas most children have already begun to speak at least a few words by age 2. Along with speech therapy, her parents gradually introduced her to painting, which is when they discovered her amazing talent.
“We have been encouraging Iris to paint to help with speech therapy, joint attention and turn taking,” her mother, Arabella Carter-Johnson, explains on her website. “Then we realised that she is actually really talented and has an incredible concentration span of around 2 hours each time she paints. Her autism has created a style of painting which I have never seen in a child of her age, she has an understanding of colours and how they interact with each other.”
Much better version of the same subject matter I posted earlier.
Her paintings are so breathtaking! <3 <3
But does anyone else see that cat face in the last painting?!
That cat is wearing a sweater in one of the photos
